Join us for an immersive training experience in the Lake District, which balances fitness, wellness and relaxation.

You’ll be staying at the Castle Green Hotel. which is centrally located for the gym and Kendal town centre - the gateway to the Lake District. Luxuriously furnished accommodation will ensure a restful and relaxing stay with us, so you can recover from all the day’s activities and adventures!

ABOUT YOUR COACHES

JESS ROSART

With over 15 years of experience in the coaching scene, from Artistic Gymnastics to CrossFit, Jess will be there to coach you in all the training sessions over the long weekend. Jess is originally from Canada but has been living in London for the past 9 years. She has been part of the coaching team at WIT since they opened in 2018 and has learned from some of the best in the business.

Jess tried CrossFit back in 2010 for the first time and was immediately hooked. Competitive and fun with the methodology to back it up, she knew CrossFit was the right fit for her and that it was how she was going to transform peoples’ lives.

She is a true believer in doing the basics extremely well and always goes back to them herself. Jess's coaching style is like no other, keeping technique and mechanics as the top priorities.

Strength training has been a game changer for Jess, which is part of the reason we have added a bodybuilding session in this fitness holiday. When you get stronger that's when the magic happens, from your first pull up, to a bigger max set, or a clean PB.

There is nothing more rewarding to Jess then seeing others achieve something that they never thought was possible and really reaching their full potential.

When she's not in the gym coaching, lifting or working on her gymnastics you will find her enjoying a bagel, coffee or outside running  along the Thames.

CHELSEA EDDY-WALAND

Chelsea found CrossFit in 2015 and it transformed her life. She opened Fell CrossFit with the vision of sharing the positive impact that the sport had on her, empowering others to be confident, strong and secure in their bodies and capabilities too.

She has coached all around the world in various gyms, learning from industry experts, and helping hundreds of athletes unlock their skills and access their strengths. She is a gymnastics expert, but absolutely loves a heavy barbell. With a keen eye for detail, she breaks down hard skills and makes them easier and accessible to all abilities.

Chelsea has competed and podiumed at high-level competitions, so has plenty of sporting experience. However, CrossFit did not come easy to her. Her struggle in the sport has made her a better coach as she can relate to the frustration and has developed a wide vocabulary of cues to help a variety of athletes; from 4 to 70+ years of age, pregnant, postpartum and adaptive.

As a Lakeland local, Chelsea is regularly running in the fells with her two dogs, wild swimming and paddle-boarding. She is extremely passionate about marrying her two loves of fitness and the Lake District and it’s an absolute privilege to share this with others.

THE RETREAT

Our gym workshops are conducted by experienced CrossFit trainers, Jess and Chelsea. You’ll participate in gymnastics and weightlifting workshops to improve both your skill and strength work. Whether you’re grafting for your first rep or you’re building volume, we personalise the sessions for all abilities so everyone is guaranteed individual improvement with lots of valuable takeaways to effect long-lasting progress in your performance and mindset back at home.

The training camp programme covers strength, skill & metcon, blending educational elements with enjoyable exercise. Your coaches will create a motivating and encouraging environment to try new things, push yourselves, PB and do things you didn’t think possible.

Good food and coffee is key. Our sister company, Fold Coffee, have both of these things on tap. You’ll have a hot breakfast at the hotel each morning. For evening meals, we have organised 3-course dinners and wood-fired pizza by the lake. It also wouldn’t be a day in the Fells if we didn’t finish at a Cumbrian pub for a Sunday roast. Essentially, we keep you well-fed with delicious, nutritious, hearty food and drinks.

Whilst we will be doing plenty of fitness at Fell CrossFit, we will be adventuring outdoors in the Lakes too! We’ll be paddle-boarding, going on a guided wild swim, running the Cumbrian trails and going on an iconic Lakeland hike. You’ll experience the Lakes from multiple different vantage points, making memories that will leave a lasting impression.

OPTION TWO

Pay £150 deposit to secure your space.

We’ll be in touch within 48 hours to confirm your booking with details of how to make your outstanding payments. We can organise for the outstanding payments to be split in to equal monthly instalments.

PLEASE NOTE: £150 is non-refundable to cover our costs in the event of a cancellation. You will be offered a refund less the deposit if you cancel up to 6 weeks prior to the retreat. If you cancel within 14 days of the retreat, the full amount will be non-refundable unless we can re-sell your space or you find a sub.
